How it works
Diathermy uses high-frequency electromagnetic currents to generate heat deep within the affected area. This warming results in an increased blood flow that allows an area to receive the healing nutrients it needs to recover. It also makes connective tissue more flexible, reduces inflammation, reduces nerve fiber sensitivity and kills infection. All of these accelerate the healing process for a patient.
